Seattle Pacific University’s Giving Day is a community-wide effort to support our students and programs. Whether you are across the country or right here in Seattle, there are many ways to make an immediate impact.
Pray First
At SPU, we recognize that our strength comes from more than just financial contributions; it is rooted in the fervent prayers of our community. We invite you to partner with us by praying for students and faculty — lift up our students, parents, leaders, and faculty as they shape the future. If attending on campus, join in the kick-off community prayer or small groups lifting up prayer requests submitted by those in our SPU family and community. Have a prayer request? Give a Financial Gift
Your generosity supports the areas of campus you care about most, from student scholarships to academic excellence. For the greatest impact, see the "Matches and Challenges" page, or check if your employer offers matching gifts to multiply your contribution. To give, simply click the “Give Now” button at the top of the page. Gifts of $1,000 or more qualify you for special events and membership in SPU’s President’s Circle.
Come to Campus
Join the celebration in person and experience the energy of Giving Day firsthand at the Student Union Building (315 West Bertona, Seattle, WA 98119) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We’ll kick-off the day at 10 a.m. with community prayer. Our official opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the remainder of the day enjoying live worship music, fellowship with those in our SPU family and community, friendly fundraising competitions and other fun activities, and plenty of free refreshments and coffee.
Engage on Social Media
Help build our SPU community by sharing your love of SPU with your online network. Repost an SPU post and then tell why you give, or share thanks or a shoutout to a favorite professor or classmate who made a difference in your life. Be sure to include #SPUGivingDay and #GiveFalconStrong in your posts to join the conversation.
Become an Ambassador
Take your involvement to the next level by serving as an official Giving Day Ambassador. Use your personal network to invite others to give to the areas of campus you/they love most. Sign up below to get a custom URL. Share it with your network and ask them to give and then share the link with their networks. The link will then allow you to see exactly how many gifts and how much support you’ve inspired. See the “Areas to Support” page for all areas around campus needing support.
Note: We have provided a toolkit at the very bottom of this page to make outreach easy for you and those in your network, including prewritten emails, social media posts, phone scripts, and graphics.

What You Should Know
Step 1. Sign Up and Get Equipped
- Register as an Ambassador: See the form above to sign up, allowing you to select specific colleges, causes, or programs to champion.
- Get Your Custom Link: You will be emailed a unique tracking link that allows you to track how many gifts and how much money you have raised.
- Obtain Your Toolkit: See below for resources that may prove helpful, such as sample social media posts, email templates, and graphics to make sharing easy.
- Share Your Story: Explain why you are supporting the university — share personal experiences, memories, or why a specific program is important to you.
- Use Social Media: Post on Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Instagram using the official event hashtags: #SPUGivingDay and #GiveFalconSTRONG.
- Utilize Your Network: Reach out directly via social media, email, text, or phone calls to friends, family, and colleagues to encourage them to donate. Share your unique tracking link, asking them to use the link to give.
- Engage in Challenges: On Giving Day, make sure to participate in specific, time-sensitive matching challenges to help maximize donations and win bonus funds for your cause. Visit givingday.spu.edu days prior to Giving Day to learn of challenge and match opportunities coming on Giving Day.
- Lead by Example: Make a gift of any size to the area you are enthusiastic about.
- Use Your Link: Always use your personalized tracking link when making your own gift or sharing, ensuring your impact is recorded.
- Send Thanks: Show appreciation to those in your network who donated.
- Post Updates: Share SPU leaderboard updates, progress toward goals, and celebrate milestones during the day.
Tips for Success
- Share Your "Why": People give to people. Share a brief, personal story about what SPU means to you, especially its faith-based impact.
- Use Your Personal Link: Always use your unique ambassador link so your efforts are tracked.
- Lead by Example: Make your own gift first so you can honestly say, "Join me."
- Leverage Matches: If the university has matching funds, emphasize that in your posts and emails.
