Multiply Your Impact

On Giving Day, your gift goes further — over $100,000 further! Thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors, every dollar you give can be matched — or help unlock bonus funds — to support the areas of SPU you care about most. And don't forget to check if your employer offers matching gifts to further multiply your contribution!

Active Matches

Matches double your gift! For every dollar, a matching amount is added to the total raised. Matches this year include:

• $16,500 — All gifts to the Emergency State Grant Replacement Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a generous donor up to $16,500 (enough to cover five students at $3,300 per student).
• $20,000 — The first $20,000 given to the Seattle Pacific Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar to address the greatest needs across the University.
• $5,000 — The first $5,000 given by Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD)* alumni will be matched dollar-for-dollar to the day's total to address the greatest needs across the University.

Unlock Challenges

Challenges are "all or nothing" milestones. Once we hit a specific goal, a large "challenge gift" is unlocked for the specified program. Challenges this year include:

• $5,000 — When we hit 500 unique donors on Giving Day (not counting early donors), $5,000 will be unlocked towards the day's total to address the greatest needs across the University.
• $5,000 — If 100 people donate during the 12pm-1pm "Power Hour", $5,000 will be unlocked towards the day's total to address the greatest needs across the University.
• $2,500 — When we reach 100 unique, first-time donors, $2,500 will be unlocked towards the day's total to address the greatest needs across the University.

Leaderboards

Leaderboards track which cause has the most support (by number of donors). Compete as a team for bragging rights and the chance to win bonus funds for your cause.

• $2,000 — The top three causes by donor count in each category (Academics and Scholarships, Athletics, and Student Experience) at the end of Giving Day will unlock a bonus of $1,000, $600, or $400 to their cause.
• $1,000 — The class decade with the most donors at the end of the day earns the honor of unlocking $1,000 for Student Scholarships.
• $500 — The cause with the most faculty/staff donors at the end of Giving Day will unlock a bonus of $500.
