Academics & Scholarships

At our core we are committed to providing students with a top-notch, quality Christian education that is fueled by rigorous academic programs, skilled professors, and thriving learning spaces.

The clear Christian commitment of Seattle Pacific University has remained the same since 1891. We continue to believe that the finest education is informed by Christian faith. Our mission seamlessly weaves intellectual inquiry with belief that the Christian faith calls each one to excellence — both intellectually and spiritually — which is why we actively strive to provide the highest quality education.

Your generous gift and investment on this upcoming Giving Day help to ensure academic excellence and integrity continues to grow and thrive at SPU, making it possible for:

  • Hands-on opportunities for students to work alongside expert faculty.
  • Classrooms and research laboratories to be equipped with the tools needed for 21st-century education.
  • Students to have access to top-tier education through scholarships.

Our Standard of Excellence

SPU is committed to remain faithful to our strong faith foundations and to uphold the highest standards of excellence. Student Scholarships

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND AID

Our mission at Seattle Pacific University is to engage the culture and change the world by graduating people of competence and character, becoming people of wisdom, and modeling grace-filled community. We start by making sure students have access to our excellent, faith-based education through scholarships and aid. We commit to providing students admitted for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year with a Merit award— e.g., Faith for the Future Scholarship, SPU Merit Scholarship, Distinguished Scholar Award, or Falcon Bound Commitment!

BRIDGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Due to an unexpected change in the Washington State legislature's budget, students attending private colleges and universities in the state are losing access to the Washington College Grant. This change means over 250 of our current students will lose up to $3,300 in state funding next school year. Your gift to this fund will help ensure these student can stay on track and complete their education.

“Working with other universities throughout the country and seeing their wildlife programs, what Blakely Island offers for SPU students is really unmatched,” said Todd Jacobsen ’10, a wildlife conflict specialist with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. “Between the amazing facility, the different courses, and the immersion students have in an amazing ecosystem, there's nothing else like it.”
